Properties White crystalline flake solid, almost odorless, hygroscopic. Fully miscible with water and soluble in alcohols/esters; stable, low volatility, low-toxicity diol. Melting point: 126–130℃, boiling point: 208℃, closed-cup flash point approx 129℃, density: 1.06 g/cm³ (solid). Excellent chemical/weather resistance after esterification. Non-hazardous, general cargo.

Main applications

1. Coatings & resins: Core diol monomer for saturated polyester resins (powder coatings), alkyd resins, acrylic resins; OEM automotive paint, refinish paint, industrial anti-corrosion & exterior architectural coatings
2. PU & plasticizers: Polyol intermediate for polyurethane foams (rigid/flexible), elastomers, adhesives & sealants; plasticizer ester raw material
3. UV curing: Raw material for NPGDA (neopentyl glycol diacrylate) UV monomer
4. Others: Unsaturated polyester, synthetic lubricants, textile additives, coupling agent
